De'Longhi's DEX210SF is a compact compressor dehumidifier for one room at a time, ideally a bedroom or study with condensation on the windows. Its defining claim is a 37 dB noise level, which De'Longhi says makes it fit for night use anywhere in the house. Continuous drainage through an external hose and a laundry function with three moisture levels round out a tidy package.

- Quoted for rooms up to 45 m³, so it is a single room unit.
Our take
Capacity and the room it suits
Extraction is listed at up to 10 litres a day in the bullets, while the specification table shows 14, so the bullet figure is the one to plan around. De'Longhi gives a room volume of up to 45 cubic metres. A typical UK double bedroom with a 2.4 metre ceiling is well inside that, but a large open plan space is not, and a whole flat is beyond what it is designed for.
The rated power is 265 W, three fan speeds are listed, and the unit weighs 10 kg with a carry handle.
Drainage and tank
Condensate goes either into a removable 2.1 litre tank or out through an external hose. The machine stops automatically when the tank is full, and a full tank light plus a transparent window show the level. For a bedroom without a drain, the small tank means a morning empty is part of the routine.
Laundry and filtration
The laundry function uses diffused airflow and is said to dry clothes 50 percent faster than normal drying, with three moisture levels to choose from. Filtration is two stage: a washable dust filter aimed at pollutants and allergens, and an activated carbon filter for odours.
The listing does not describe a general humidistat or an automatic restart after a power cut, so if either is essential, look elsewhere.
Compared with nearby options
The Bosch Dry 1000 also extracts 10 litres a day, with a lower 34 dB(A) figure and three automated modes, but quotes a small 17 square metre room. The EcoAir DD3 Slimline matches the 10 litre rating with desiccant technology that keeps working down to 1 °C. The DEX210SF is the compressor option for a heated room, adding hose drainage.
Verdict
Pick the DEX210SF for a heated bedroom or study where low noise and a hose option matter. If you want the quietest figure and automated modes, the Bosch Dry 1000 is worth a look, and for a cold room where a compressor would struggle, the EcoAir DD3 Slimline is the better match.
