Trotec is better known for site drying equipment, and the TTK 30 E brings some of that plain, functional approach to a small home dehumidifier. It is a 12 litre machine for one room of about 15 m², run by a hygrostat with clear 5% steps and with a connection for draining water away. It suits someone who wants simple, precise control rather than apps and extra modes.

In its favour
- Hygrostat control from 30 to 80% in 5% increments, with coloured LEDs showing humidity.
- Connection for external condensate drainage avoids emptying the small tank.
- Maximum power draw is listed at 0.27 kW, modest for 12 litres a day.
Good to know
- Rated for rooms of about 15 m², so it is a one room machine rather than a whole house one.
- The listing does not mention auto restart or a timer.
Our take
The hygrostat and indicators
Operation is automatic, controlled by a hygrostat that you set between 30% and 80% relative humidity in 5% increments. That is finer than the low, medium and high dials on many budget units, and it makes it easy to hold a bedroom or box room at a steady level. Coloured LEDs indicate humidity, and a separate indicator lights when the tank is full.
Capacity, airflow and power
Trotec lists a maximum of 12 litres a day, an air flow rate of 120 m³ per hour and a maximum power draw of 0.27 kW. Automatic defrosting by air circulation is listed, which helps it keep working in a cooler room. The body measures 22 by 41.5 by 28 cm and weighs 8.5 kg, a wide and low shape that sits comfortably on a floor or a sturdy shelf.
Draining the water
The tank holds 2.2 litres and the unit shuts off automatically when it is full. For longer runs, the listing mentions a connection for external condensate discharge, so you can fit a hose to a drain or a large container and leave it running. In a damp room that hose is worth using, because a small tank fills fast at full output.
How it stacks up
The Bosch Dry 1000 covers a similar room size with automated modes and a stated 34 dB(A), but without a numbered humidity dial or a drain outlet mentioned. The Dimplex EverDri 20L handles much bigger rooms. The TTK 30 E does not mention a timer or auto restart, which some buyers will miss. If the power drops overnight you may need to switch it back on yourself, so it is best placed where you will notice that it has stopped.
Verdict
Pick the Trotec TTK 30 E for a single bedroom, office or utility room where precise humidity control and hose drainage matter more than smart features. For quieter bedroom use the Bosch Dry 1000 is the alternative, and for a larger space the Dimplex EverDri 20L is the better size.
